In this program, participants will learn the fundamental engineering behind the refrigeration cycle and the rated capacity of a condensing unit/evaporator coil match. Refrigerant physical properties, evaporator suction pressure/saturation temperature design limits, line losses, compressor displacement, condensers and condensing pressures are explained. The system is then operated at full load suction and condensing pressure to calculate the rated pumping capacity of the system.
