OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1983 by Wayne E. Shearer in Dallas, TX, Shearer Supply began as an HVAC distributor dedicated to building strong relationships with contractors by providing quality products and service.


1983-1988:Shearer Supply became a distributor of Coleman Heating and Air Conditioning, supporting the residential HVAC market.

1988:The company transitioned to American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning, expanding into the light commercial sector.

1984-2003:Expansion into Oklahoma and Louisiana led to the addition of new branches and a growing delivery fleet.

2005:Wayne Shearer retired, passing leadership to his daughter Michelle Shearer-Rodriguez, with Abel Rodriguez as CFO.

2011:Shearer Supply was awarded new territories in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi by American Standard.

2017:Alex Rodriguez, third-generation leadership, joined as President, focusing on company expansion and customer service excellence.

2019:Addison S. Rodriguez joined as CTO, spearheading Shearer's digital transformation with advanced business analytics and e-commerce platforms.

2022:Acquisition of Partners Supply in Chattanooga, TN, expanding into Alabama and Tennessee.

2024:Acquisition of Climatic Corporation, adding new territories in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

2025:Shearer awarded the Jacksonville and Gainesville, FL, market areas by American Standard.
