Diagnosing Low Air Volume

In this program, participants will learn how to increase indoor air volume when the maximum blower speed does not provide enough fan wheel speed to produce rated air CFM requirements. Blower motor slip and fan laws will be introduced. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to properly diagnose and correct system conditions that are causing low air volume.

Mech. Compression On Retail

In this program, participants will learn the fundamental engineering behind the refrigeration cycle and the rated capacity of a condensing unit/evaporator coil match. Refrigerant physical properties, evaporator suction pressure/saturation temperature design limits, line losses, compressor displacement, condensers and condensing pressures are explained. The system is then operated at full load suction and condensing pressure to calculate the rated pumping capacity of the system.
