Our History

Shearer Supply was established in 1983 and founded by Wayne E. Shearer and is the American Standard distributor of residential and commercial equipment, geothermal and ductless brands in the northern half of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Western Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, Northern Louisiana and Eastern New Mexico.

With fifteen branches, eight in Texas, two in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee and one in Shreveport, Shearer Supply works very hard to continue the legacy set by Wayne Shearer.

Today Shearer Supply is led by President, Michelle Shearer-Rodriguez and CFO, Abel Rodriguez. Together this team has pushed hard to build a distributorship that is current in technology and services that customers should expect from their HVAC distributor. Growth of the company has been achieved by many talented professionals that Shearer is fortunate to have.

Along with the American Standard brand, Shearer Supply is also the Samsung Ductless and VRF distributor. As a one stop shop for residential and commercial contractors Shearer's line card consists of brands like Climatemaster Geothermal, Honeywell, Reznor, LG PTACS and many other specialty equipment brands. Shearer Supply also has a complete line of accessories for the residential and light commercial contractor.

Over the years Shearer Supply gained a reputation for providing all the services that any size contractor would need to grow his/her business. Extensive training is offered both in the traditional classroom as well as with YouTube videos, webinars and technical updates on the website. Shearer's technical team serves the American Standard contractor with easy accessibility and a knowledgeable staff. Shearer Supply has a large fleet of box trucks, flat beds and pick-up trucks in order to deliver product to their customers. Marketing and advertising programs are always available to dealers.

The Shearer Supply co-op and trip program is also a 30-plus year tradition and thousands of dealers have enjoyed traveling the world.

Since 1983, Shearer Supply is the same family that offers the same quality service, products and programs that it did since the beginning. Shearer Supply is also proud to see the third Shearer generation enter the company.

Since 1881, American Standard has built a brand on the promise of comfort and long-lasting reliability for families everywhere. The American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning product lineup represents one of the most comprehensive in the industry. With energy efficient solutions in air conditioning, heating and indoor air quality, American Standard is creating a revolution in indoor comfort. American Standard products continue to lead the HVAC industry in awards and recognition for reliability and dependability.

In July 2016, readers of a national product testing and research magazine rated American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning's air conditioners and heat pumps as the most reliable brand among leading manufacturers. American Standard is distributed through a national network of independent distributors that offers premium customer service and support to trained and licensed dealers.

The Legacy Continues

Shearer Supply's commitment to exceedingly great service began with founder Wayne Shearer in 1983. Since 2005, this same commitment has been led by current President, Michelle Shearer-Rodriguez. The legacy will continue into the future under the leadership of Alex Rodriguez as the third generation.
